History Life supports the “Women in School and Health” project in South Sudan

Since 2017, History Life Onlus has chosen to support Amref's “Women in School and Health” project in South Sudan.

The initiative is dedicated to the education of young women and to providing them with a scientific educational pathway that can become the foundation for a future specialisation in the healthcare field.

🎓 A scientific high school for young women

In 2013, in Maridi, Amref established the first and only scientific high school in South Sudan exclusively dedicated to women.

The school welcomes and trains young girls who wish to undertake a course of study whose scientific foundations are necessary for a future specialisation in the healthcare sector.

🩺 Education and healthcare

The project aims ultimately to help reduce maternal and child mortality in South Sudan by contributing to an increase in healthcare personnel and promoting scientific secondary education for young women.

In this way, education becomes a concrete tool through which young women can acquire the knowledge needed to build their future and prepare for professional opportunities in the healthcare field.

Thanks to the collaboration with History Life, each year it is possible to support the educational pathway of one young student attending Amref's scientific high school.

For four years, History Life has stood alongside Amref by investing in female education in South Sudan.

Dal 2017, History Life Onlus ha scelto di sostenere il progetto “Women in School and Health” di Amref in Sud Sudan.

L'iniziativa è dedicata alla formazione delle giovani donne e alla possibilità di offrire loro un percorso scolastico scientifico che possa rappresentare la base per una futura specializzazione nel settore sanitario.

🎓 Un liceo scientifico per le giovani donne

Nel 2013, a Maridi, Amref ha dato vita al primo e unico liceo scientifico del Sud Sudan esclusivamente dedicato alle donne.

La scuola accoglie e forma giovani ragazze che desiderano intraprendere un percorso scolastico le cui basi scientifiche sono necessarie per una futura specializzazione nel settore sanitario.

🩺 Istruzione e sanità

Il progetto ha come obiettivo finale quello di contribuire alla riduzione della mortalità materno-infantile in Sud Sudan, favorendo l'incremento del personale sanitario e promuovendo l'istruzione secondaria scientifica per le giovani donne.

In questo modo, l'istruzione diventa uno strumento concreto attraverso il quale le giovani possono acquisire le conoscenze necessarie per costruire il proprio futuro e prepararsi a opportunità professionali nel settore sanitario.

Grazie alla collaborazione con History Life, ogni anno è possibile sostenere il percorso formativo di una giovane ragazza che frequenta il liceo scientifico di Amref.

Da quattro anni, History Life è al fianco di Amref investendo nell'educazione femminile in Sud Sudan.
