Borse di studio per le ragazze africane: History Life Onlus al fianco di Amref
Nel corso del 2021, History Life Onlus ha rinnovato il proprio sostegno ad Amref Health Africa finanziando otto borse di studio all’interno del progetto “Erripo – Protect Girls”, un’iniziativa che incarna valori fondamentali come la lotta alla discriminazione di genere e il diritto all’istruzione e all’acqua pulita.
Il progetto è attivo in diverse aree del Kenya ed è finalizzato a contrastare pratiche tradizionali dannose come i matrimoni precoci e le mutilazioni genitali femminili, attraverso un percorso educativo strutturato. Le borse di studio hanno permesso a giovani ragazze vulnerabili di proseguire gli studi in ambienti protetti e stimolanti.
Il nome “Erripo” in lingua Maasai significa “protezione”: un concetto che racchiude l’essenza stessa del programma, orientato a fornire strumenti di riscatto e autonomia a molte ragazze in difficoltà .
History Life Onlus è orgogliosa di aver contribuito a questa missione, confermando ancora una volta la volontà di sostenere progetti concreti e trasformativi per il futuro di tante giovani donne africane.
Scholarships for African Girls: History Life Onlus supports Amref again
Throughout 2021, History Life Onlus renewed its support to Amref Health Africa by funding eight scholarships as part of the “Erripo – Protect Girls” project—an ambitious and crucial initiative that combines two of Amref’s core values: access to clean water and women’s empowerment through education.
The project operates in several regions of Kenya and aims to combat harmful traditional practices such as early marriage and female genital mutilation by promoting a structured educational path. These scholarships provided vulnerable girls with a safe and stimulating environment in which to continue their studies.
The name “Erripo” means “protection” in the Maasai language—a term that perfectly reflects the spirit of the project: giving young girls the tools they need to reclaim their future and build their independence.
History Life Onlus is proud to have contributed to this meaningful cause, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting concrete, transformative projects that bring real hope to the lives of young African women.
