History Life Onlus supports Amref

For the fourth consecutive year, History Life supports girls’ education in South Sudan

At the beginning of the Christmas season, History Life Onlus renewed, for the fourth consecutive year, its support for WISH – Women in School for Health, the educational project promoted by Amref Health Africa in South Sudan.

Continuing this commitment means supporting a project that places education, women's empowerment and professional training at the heart of the future of young South Sudanese girls.

👩‍🎓 Science education for young women

The WISH project was created in Maridi, South Sudan, with the aim of increasing access to science-based secondary education for girls.

Through their studies, students can build the educational foundations needed to pursue careers in the health sector, including professions such as nursing, midwifery and other healthcare roles.

Supporting girls' access to scientific education therefore means not only giving individual students an opportunity, but also contributing to the development of local professional skills and human capital.

🏫 WISH – Women in School for Health

The funds raised in support of the initiative contribute to the WISH Girls' Science Secondary School, an educational programme designed to offer young women a stronger scientific background and new opportunities for their future.

In a country where access to education can be particularly difficult, investing in the education of girls can have an impact that extends well beyond the classroom: it can contribute to greater autonomy, stronger communities and a more inclusive healthcare system.

✈️ From the Flying Doctors to Amref Health Africa

Amref Health Africa was founded in 1957 by three surgeons who developed the Flying Doctors of East Africa, bringing medical assistance to populations living in remote and difficult-to-reach areas.

Over the decades, that experience evolved into a major African-led health organisation working on healthcare, training, community development and the strengthening of health systems.

Per il quarto anno consecutivo History Life sostiene l’istruzione femminile in Sud Sudan

In occasione dell'inizio del periodo natalizio, History Life Onlus ha rinnovato, per il quarto anno consecutivo, il proprio sostegno a WISH – Women in School for Health, il progetto educativo promosso da Amref Health Africa in Sud Sudan.

Proseguire questo impegno significa sostenere un progetto che mette al centro del futuro delle giovani sudsudanesi istruzione, empowerment femminile e formazione professionale.

👩‍🎓 Formazione scientifica per le giovani donne

Il progetto WISH è nato a Maridi, in Sud Sudan, con l'obiettivo di favorire l'accesso delle ragazze a una formazione secondaria di carattere scientifico.

Attraverso gli studi, le studentesse possono costruire le basi formative necessarie per proseguire verso professioni sanitarie, tra cui infermieristica, ostetricia e altri percorsi professionali nel settore della salute.

Sostenere l'accesso delle ragazze all'istruzione scientifica significa quindi non soltanto offrire un'opportunità alle singole studentesse, ma contribuire anche allo sviluppo di competenze professionali e capitale umano locale.

🏫 WISH – Women in School for Health

I fondi raccolti a sostegno dell'iniziativa contribuiscono al liceo scientifico femminile WISH, un percorso educativo pensato per offrire alle giovani donne una più solida preparazione scientifica e nuove opportunità per il proprio futuro.

In un Paese nel quale l'accesso all'istruzione può essere particolarmente difficile, investire nella formazione delle ragazze può produrre effetti che vanno ben oltre l'aula scolastica: può contribuire a una maggiore autonomia, a comunità più forti e a un sistema sanitario più inclusivo.

❤️ Quattro anni consecutivi di impegno

Per History Life, rinnovare questa iniziativa per il quarto anno consecutivo rappresenta un importante segnale di continuità. La solidarietà non significa soltanto rispondere a un bisogno immediato: significa anche sostenere nel tempo i progetti capaci di creare opportunità durature.

Il nostro sostegno a WISH nasce dalla convinzione che investire nell'istruzione di una ragazza possa contribuire a cambiare non soltanto il suo futuro personale, ma anche quello della sua famiglia e della sua comunità.

✈️ Dai Flying Doctors ad Amref Health Africa

Amref Health Africa è stata fondata nel 1957 da tre medici chirurghi che diedero vita ai Flying Doctors of East Africa, portando assistenza sanitaria alle popolazioni delle aree più remote e difficili da raggiungere.

Nel corso dei decenni, quell'esperienza si è trasformata in una grande organizzazione sanitaria a leadership africana, impegnata nella salute, nella formazione, nello sviluppo delle comunità e nel rafforzamento dei sistemi sanitari.
